Two mines were once operated in the municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun. The silver mines of Affeier and the ironworks in the Platenga-Tobel, whose 240 m long tunnel system is now open to tourists. Surselva Tourism Info Obersaxen organises guided tours to the show mine during the summer.

The Igniu playground is located between Rabius and Surrein and is surrounded by beautiful birch trees, which provide pleasant cooling in summer. It is not far from the cycle route that runs along the Rhine through Surrein towards Trun and Disentis.

The approximately 500 year old St. Remigius Church was built on a magnificent viewing terrace, the Mutta. The church is considered to be one of the most beautiful and interesting cultural and historical buildings in the Vorderrheintal.
