The legendary village of Salischina lies above the tree line southwest of Vrin. Not far from the alpine huts lies a stone with a strong, energetic charisma. Further northwest is another stone, which communicates with the stone of Carrera below Vella.

There are 40 mountain pastures on the Wiesner Alp. The view of the Albula Valley and the opposite peaks Piz Ela, Tinzenhorn and Piz Mitgel compensates for the ascent to 1,940 m above sea level.

In the village stands the parish church of St. Calixtus with one of the most important carved winged altars in Graubünden. Outside are the castle ruins "Belfort" and the "Bündner Rütli" in the Außenwacht Vazerol.
