On the left side of the fountain in Vattiz are two shell stones and a grinding stone walled in. It is believed that the large shells of the two stones originally served as suspension devices for the axis of a water wheel.

The famous crystals of the Péz Regina are among the largest groups found in the Alps to date. The group "Star of the Four Winds" weighs 1150 kg and can be seen in a shop window at Casa Lumerins.
