Rueun is the oldest covered wooden bridge in the canton of Graubünden and is a cantonal monument protection. The bridge crosses the Vorderrhein a little east of Rueun station. At its southern exit it joins the Polenweg.

As part of the "cultivation battle" during the 2nd World War the flood plain was drained and the Rom river was made into a canal. Between 2004 and 2007 the stream was restored. Now it ripples softly through the landscape.
