In Maienfeld you can find out how the girl from the mountains became so famous. On the guided tour through the original setting of the story, you will have the opportunity to dive into the legend of Heidi. Experience the world of 1880, where the bed was made of straw and food was prepared in a cast-iron kettle over an open fire. The Heidi village illustrates how nature, tradition and joy of life inspired Johanna Spyri to write her world bestseller «Heidi».

The tour starts in Bad Ragaz at the E-Bike Station and takes you up to the advanture mountain Pizol. The route leads along unpaved mountain roads to Pardiel to the Edelweiss panorama restaurant. The gradients are mastered effortlessly by the electric drive of the e-bike, so that you can enjoy nature to the full. Once you reach the top, a beautiful view of the Bündner Herrschaft, the Rhine Valley and the Principality of Liechtenstein awaits you. You can also marvel at the mountains opposite, such as Falknis and Gonzen, while you enjoy the fine "Pizol-Plättli". The trail continues over hill and dale to Muttberg and then along a forest path back to Bad Ragaz.
