Einblick in den Alpalltag auf der Präzer Alp Grond
We learn how alpine farming works on a suckler cow farm, get an overview of the Alp Gronda area and the tasks of a shepherd. Together we do a livestock check on a pasture and get to know the suckler cows and the rules. With a bit of luck, we can be present at an alpine calving from a distance, or experience that the vet has to stop by, or something else special comes up. Every day on the alp is different, let yourself be surprised.
Meeting point: 08.00 a.m. directly on the Präzer Alp Gronda (can be reached by car from Präz via the alpine road)
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Costs: Adults. CHF 20.00, child up to 16 years CHF 10.00 (to be paid directly on site in cash or Twint)
After an insight into everyday alpine life, you can enjoy your own picnic on the alp at noon. A barbecue area is available.
Registration required by 11.30 a.m. the day before, limited number of places
The tour takes place in all weathers. Please wear clothing and shoes suitable for the weather.
The event is not suitable for children under 5 years of age. Children up to 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The children should like to walk well.
Dogs cannot be brought along out of consideration for the suckler cows
If the event has to be cancelled, Viamala Tourism will inform you in advance.
