The destination of this snowshoe tour is particularly rewarding, because there we build a table and benches out of snow and treat ourselves to a delicious fondue. While doing so, we enjoy the magnificent view and a glass of wine.
We start at 9 o'clock in the morning in St. Antönien, the first mountaineering village in Switzerland. A true Eldorado for snowshoe tours! The local snowshoe guide Dominik Karrer knows virtually every tree and every path here. Step by step, thanks to the snowshoes light-footedly carried by the snow cover, the way goes gently uphill. Once at the summit, the local cheese fondue tastes even better in the midst of nature with the most beautiful panorama...
At 4 p.m. the group is back at the starting point.

Alp cheese subscription 1 kg - a piece of Prättigau to your home
Alpine cheese - a traditional Swiss natural product. This is because alp cheese is not the same as mountain cheese: while the former is only made in summer from fresh alpine milk in alpine huts, the latter is produced in talc cheese dairies all year round. The milk for mountain cheese does not necessarily have anything to do with the mountain, but alp cheese does with the alp. With 58 intact alps, the pretty Prättigau is one of the largest alpine regions in Graubünden. On the 24 alpine dairies, milk from about 2,000 cows is processed into over 120,000 kg of alpine cheese during the summer months. Far above the valley floor, the animals are protected by their alpine herdsmen and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The higher up on the alp, the more intense the sunlight, the stronger the fresh herbs and grasses, but also the sparser the fodder. All this keeps the foraging animals on their toes and helps them to produce high-quality milk, which in turn leads to the finest alpine cheese.
Surprise friends, relatives, acquaintances (or yourself) with an alpine cheese subscription from Prättigau and give a "cheese" smile as a gift. With a fine breakfast, a cozy raclette or fondue or in delicious Älplermagronen: Alpine cheese can be enjoyed in many different ways.
Every month we send 1 kilogram of alp cheese (a total of 4 deliveries) from four different alps in Prättigau, namely:
Alp Vals Alp Larein Alp Valpun Alp Casanna
Direct, regional and sustainable: with an alp cheese subscription you support the Prättigau alp and agriculture and the organic cheese dairy Prättigau in Pragg-Jenaz.
With each delivery we send a different alp cheese, the delivery takes place on Tuesday after receipt of order. If you have a different delivery address, please specify the delivery address in the "Special requests" field in the order process and soon a piece of Prättigau alpine cheese will be on its way to you or the person receiving the gift.
The invoice is made immediately.
Including services Four deliveries of Prättigauer Alpkäse (approx. 1 kg of alp cheese per delivery) Cancellation policyUnless otherwise stated, the cancellation conditions of the provider apply.

Sheep cheese subscription 1kg - a piece of Prättigau
Counting sheep in the Prättigau - a daily bread of the sheep farmer in the evening in the stable. The Prättigau is a gentle and at the same time wild valley and offers lush mountain meadows on both sides of the valley. Some of them, however, are so steep that cultivation and thus the preservation of the cultural landscape is only possible with small, nimble and light-footed animals. Sheep find their favorite herbs in almost every steep slope and help to prevent the meadows and paths from becoming overgrown with bushes.
For us humans, sheep milk is an enjoyable and valuable product. Sheep milk is characterized by a high content of essential vitamins (A, B12), minerals (calcium, iodine, magnesium, potassium), proteins and healthy fats, and is considered to be very digestible. Just as from cow's milk, various foods can be made from sheep's milk, including cheese specialties from Prättigau. Sheep's cheese is pleasantly mild and has a less strong inherent odor than goat's cheese, for example.
Surprise friends, relatives, acquaintances (or yourself) with a sheep's cheese subscription from Prättigau and give a "cheese" smile as a gift. With a fine breakfast, in a fresh salad or even with a cozy raclette: sheep's cheese can be enjoyed in many ways.
Every month we send one kilogram of sheep's cheese (a total of 4 deliveries) from Prättigau.
Direct, regional and sustainable: with a sheep's cheese subscription you support Grisons agriculture and the organic cheese dairy Prättigau in Pragg-Jenaz.
The delivery of the subscription delivery takes place by registered mail on the first Tuesday after receipt of order. In case of a different delivery address or later dispatch, please indicate the delivery address and details in the order process under "Special requests" and soon a piece of sheep's cheese will be on its way to you or the person receiving the gift.
The invoice is made immediately.
Including services Four deliveries of Prättigau sheep cheese (1 kg sheep cheese per delivery) Cancellation policyUnless otherwise stated, the cancellation conditions of the provider apply.
