Event Arosa Lenzerheide
Klassik Festival Arosa im Bergkirchli
Description
Cantare et sonare Starting from the vocal art of the Italian composer Francesca Caccini, we approach the use of voice from a contemporary perspective through Flesh by Rebecca Saunders. Domenico Scarlatti's sonatas and the genre of instrumental concerts form the sonare – sounding with J. S. Bach's harpsichord concerto and the solo cadenza, which has become an independent work from Sofia Gubaidulina's concerto for accordion and orchestra In the Sign of the Scorpion. With the accordion – an instrument with a bellows like a lung and the playful possibilities of a polyphonic instrument – instrumental and vocal music-making merge into a closed whole. Elisabeth Müller, accordion - Alejandro Latorre, saxophone - Hugo Hernot, saxophone - Yu Zeng Wu, saxophone - Po Yi Wu, saxophone
