Five pairs of eyes attentively scan the horizon. They must be somewhere, the kings of the sky. Suddenly Andreas Kofler points to the opposite mountain face: «Look, over there above the summit, a golden eagle!» A few hand movements later, the guide quickly has the majestic bird in sight through his binoculars. In the meantime, the other tour participants have also sighted him. Over and over again, the eagle soars upwards before pulling its wings close to its body and swooping down again. The bird of prey expert explains that with these so-called diving «garland flights» the eagle defines the borders of its territory. Perhaps they might also see a bearded vulture?
