Dischmatal - Grialetsch Hut SAC - Chant Sura

The starting point of the hike is Davos Dorf railway station. The trail then leads through Davos' longest side valley - the Dischmatal. At the end you reach the cosy Dürrboden mountain inn, which can also be reached by post bus and can therefore also serve as an alternative starting point for this hike. At the mountain inn, cross the bridge and walk along the flat valley floor in the direction of Talschuss. From here you have a beautiful view of the Piz Grialetsch and its glaciated northern flank with the Scaletta glacier. In the mighty south-western flank of the Radüner Rothorn, the scree path leads upwards over the Fuorcla da Grialetsch into a wide hollow with the Furggasee lake. From here, walk to the signpost, keep to the right and walk past several small lakes to the Grialetschhütte SAC. The hut is situated on a small hill and near a lake that is used for drinking water and therefore has a bathing ban. It is not unusual to see the cute marmots right by the hut.

The descent is either the same way back to Dürrboden or via the valley floor of Val Grialetsch and along the left bank of the Aua da Grialetsch out of the valley. This route is a long one, as there are several counter-climbs and stream crossings to negotiate. You pass Alp Grialetsch, come to a fork (2039 m) and branch off to the left. After another short climb, you reach the road that leads to the Flüela Pass. At Chant Sura there are bus connections back to Davos.

In addition to the Grialetsch hut and the Dürrboden mountain inn, the Teufi restaurant in the Dischma valley also offers refreshment stops.
