Description
The comfortable bike route leads through small villages along the Surses and the lower Albula Valley. Riom, Salouf, and Stierva are considered nationally significant as villages with intact village centers. On the way, you pass the statue of the poet and priest Alexander Lozza (1880 - 1953) in Salouf. Between Mon and Stierva, you ride past hedge landscapes. The destination is Stierva, where you can enjoy the best Capuns of the region. Back in Savognin, you can cool off at the bathing lake Lai Barnagn.
Directions
From the rental station, you can follow mountain bike route 1 to Riom and further on to Salouf. If you turn right at the church in Salouf, you reach the old mill (1877). Along the little-used secondary road, you come to Mon and Stierva. The way back follows the same route to Salouf. In the village, turn right past the Alpina inn towards Cunter. Follow the side road (300 m) to the hiking trail junction (left). On the dirt road, go toward Cunter and back onto the side road. After the bridge, turn right and follow the hiking trail signs to Savognin.
