A beautiful, scenic hike from Lenzerheide via Creusen to Piz Scalottas.
Details
Description
Creusen is a Maiensäss in the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz and is located at 1520 m above sea level. Creusen has about 15 huts and stables. The Maiensäss in Graubünden were an important part of the three-stage farming of the Bündner farmers. This means that before moving with the animals to the alpine pasture, a stop was made at the Maiensäss to use the earlier vegetation and produce various dairy products there. Take a look into the stables and experience this early and simple way of life and animal husbandry at the Maiensäss. Then continue the scenic route from Creusen to Piz Scalottas. You return to the valley comfortably with the chairlift after a refreshment.
