Panoramic hike from Laax towards Falera
Details
Description
This hiking trail starts at the post bus stop in Laax Post and first leads through the village. With a 200-meter altitude difference towards sunny Falera, the hike is moderately difficult. However, once in Falera, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Laax and the surrounding mountains. In Falera, there are various options to stop at a restaurant. From here, you can return to Laax by post bus or follow winter hike no. 22 back to Laax.
If you have enough time, I recommend a walk through the megalithic cult site - Parc La Mutta Falera, which dates back to the middle Bronze Age (1600-1200 BC). The Falera site is the largest and most important megalithic site in Switzerland and is under archaeological protection. The megalithic cult site is a unique center connecting astronomy, mathematics, and Bronze Age cults.
