Details
Description
A panoramic view like the one found on Piz Mundaun is extraordinary. Numerous mountain ranges come together in the distance to form the Alpine massif. It is not without reason called the "Grisons" Rigi and is considered one of the most beautiful viewpoint mountains in Switzerland. The hiking path leads from peak to peak, so that the individual mountain peaks always form stages along the way. Whether going uphill, downhill, or straight ahead, the view never disappoints. At Péz Sezner, besides the obligatory summit cross, a summit book awaits, in which the tired but happy hikers can register.
The route can be started on foot, with one of the three cable cars, or with one of the hiking buses from various points. Some suggestions:
From Meierhof:
On foot or by hiking bus to the Wali middle station. Ride the cable car to Stein or hike up to Péz Sezner.
From Misanenga:
Hike to point 2002, between Stein and Hitzeggen.
From Surcuolm:
On foot or by hiking bus to Cuolm Sura middle station. Ride the cable car or hike to Piz Mundaun
From Vella:
On foot or by hiking bus to Triel middle station. Ride the cable car or hike to Hitzeggen
By hiking bus from Vella to Alp Sezner.
From Morissen:
Hike towards the forest of S. Carli. After passing through the forest, at the Bündner Rigi restaurant begins the hiking path to Piz Mundaun.
From Lumbrein:
Hike to Péz Sezner.
