Description

From Maloja to the east, follow the trails and summer trails, ascend through forest clearings to Plan di Cavai. Bypass the rocky outcrop to the north and then climb quite steeply on the back towards south-southeast to about 2440 m. Traverse eastwards into the slopes of Murtairac. This is followed by a rather flat climb to the entrance to the striking north channel at the back of the boiler. Strap on your skis and best with crampons up the steep couloir to the northeast ridge. Continue on the ridge to the summit.
