Description

The start is in Tenna Mitte, about 50 metres from the Postbus terminus and the village shop. Alternatively, you can also start trudging from the church.

The terrain is not exactly flat and yet very suitable for snowshoe tours. You can leave your tracks perfectly in the sunny and snowy mountain slopes. From the Tenner Alp we are definitely above the tree line and the area becomes more alpine. Shortly before the steep summit slope, you come to the Stelli Lakes, which are only recognizable by a deep crater hole in winter. In tricky conditions, it is advisable to turn around here. The summit area, which is a good 30 degrees steep, has to be earned hard. But, how could it be otherwise: It's worth it!! The panorama extends from the Oberalp area, through the entire Surselva, over the Chur Rhine Valley to the Prättigau.

The way back can be via the same route.

If conditions are safe, you can also descend from the Stelli in the direction of Tenner Chrüz and the Allmeinihütta. If you still have energy left, you can also take the Tenner Chrüz with you.
