Description
In Surrein (Sedrun) the ascent to the "Stavel sut il Tgom" begins and we immediately continue hiking on the broad summit to the alpine hut "Stavel Sisum".
On the east side of Piz Nual and below the Fil d`Alpetta, a trail now leads into Val Nalps. In the distance, the Nalps reservoir already glistens. The path is partly somewhat exposed and there are sections secured with a rope. Soon, however, the rocky parts are behind us and we relax over alpine meadows and pastures down to the lake. Over the dam crest, we reach the other side of the valley.
After a bend on the paved road, we reach the turnoff to Cuolm Cavorgia. The entrance is somewhat hidden, but shortly after we encounter the access road to the Alp Cuolm Nalps. The following high-level trail leading to Cuolm Cavorgia can be considered a fine dessert. Over Puoza Gronda and Plaun Verd, we hike with views of the snow-covered Oberalpstock and the Tödi between alpine flowers and heather. On the descent, we pass the alpine hut Cuolm Cavorgia and a little lower at the Mises Grond. From Cavorgia, we hike the last stretch back via the access road to the starting point.
Hidden Gem
At Lag da Claus, you can enjoy swimming or refreshments on the terrace
Safety Note
The aerial cableway to the Tgom is not in operation during summer.
