Details

Description

Here on the Lukmanierpasshöhe we cross a language and cultural border. The Lukmanier becomes the Lucomagno. Downhill we now go to the Valle di Blenio, the Blenio Valley. The local population also calls this valley Valle del Sole, the sunny valley. Three short partly steep descents, then again plains, which are actively used in winter for cross-country skiing. So we first get to Olivone. Two ways to get from here to Aquila. The lower historical path, or the upper path with a 70 m long Tibetan suspension bridge newly inaugurated in 2022. The more we lose altitude, the warmer it gets again.
