In the morning at the Tscheischa T-bar lift, you can feel the tranquillity of an Avers winter: no crowds, no rush – just you, the snow and the mountains. Sporting descents on Tscheischa’s steep, challenging slopes alternate with the gentle terrain at Cawetta. At the pony lift, children laugh as they attempt their first turns.

In Avers, winter unfolds along peaceful paths. Hiking trails lead into the Bergalgatal and to Juf, Europe’s highest permanently inhabited settlement. Cross-country ski trails run through the sparkling snowscape towards the Bergalgatal and Juf, while in the evening, the lights of the Cawetta lift bathe the valley in a gentle glow – night skiing beneath a star-filled sky.
