Bergkirche Sta. Margarita in Fex Crasta (evangelical)


Description
A simple hall building with a flat-roofed rectangular nave and a dome-vaulted apse. In the choir area, frescoes in the Northern Italian style date from 1511. According to the inscription, the gallery was added in 1665, and the groined ceiling above the nave also dates from the 17th century. A simple polygonal pulpit dates from 1721. The stained-glass window "Lamentation of Christ" was by Ernst Rinderspacher, 1879–1949. The parapet organ on the gallery dates from 1981 (Orgelbau Felsberg). Note: The church guide, which is available for viewing in the church, can be purchased for CHF 8.00 at the Sils Tourist Information Office.
