Averser Rhein im Magic Wood

The first boulderers (boulder climbers) discovered the "Magic Wood" area in the municipality of Ferrera back in 1996. In 2004, this trend was taken up by the municipality and the "Magic Wood" area was rezoned as a bouldering zone.

Description

The climbing area is located in the centre of the "Paré da Miezgi" area on the "Ragn da Ferrera", completely in the forest.

The bouldering area is around 250 metres wide and 500 metres long. The municipality of Ferrera has now opened up access to the "Magic Wood" with a bridge. Boulderers who do not wish to camp at the campsite have the option of spending the night at the Gasthaus Edelweiss in Ausserferrera with its GENEROSO tourist centre or at the Gasthaus Alpenrose in Innerferrera.

Crash pads (bouldering mats) and climbing shoes can be hired at Bodhi Camping.
