Castle ruins Heidenberg

On the border between Obersaxen and the municipality of Breil/Brigels, on a prominent rocky plateau above Tavanasa, there are enigmatic remains of a wall.
Description
They suggest that there was once a castle, although there is no documentary evidence of this. The carefully constructed walls, 1.7 m thick, suggest a very early origin (11th/12th century). However, the complex appears to have been abandoned before the 13th century. It cannot be ruled out that Heidenberg may have been a temporary refuge.
