Castle ruins Moregg, Obersaxen

Description
The castle ruins stand on a rocky spur between two gorges and were protected at the rear by an artificial moat. The ruins are dominated by the remains of a tower, which rises to a height of three storeys. Parts of a shield wall are also visible, but no traces of other buildings. Moregg is not mentioned in any documents, but at the end of the 15th century we learn of an estate of the same name. It is assumed that the castle belonged to the lords of Rhäzüns and was abandoned by them when the Walser inhabitants took over the lower jurisdiction themselves.
