Cavloc Lake
Show all 4 images
Lake Cavloc is a popular destination for hikers in both summer and winter.
Description
The short path to the lake is easily accessible in all seasons: in summer on foot, with a baby carriage or by bike, in winter on a prepared path also on foot, with cross-country skis or snowshoes.
In the hot season, the bravest dare to take a dip in the lake. The barbecue areas and the wood provided by the municipality invite you to BBQs together. In the small Cavloc restaurant, which is only open in summer, you can sample local delicacies. And for those who don't want to return home empty-handed, there is a tasty mascarplin (a typical Bergell goat cheese) for sale at Alp Cavloc.
From the lake, you can reach the Forno hut in a few hours on beautiful high mountain trails. Or you can follow the path to Lake Bitabergh and then back to Maloja.
