Centro Giacometti

The Centro Giacometti conveys and preserves the history and present of the Giacometti family of artists. It organizes exhibitions and designs themed trails. In this way, the foundation aims to provide an in-depth examination of the life and work of the Giacometti family from Stampa. It promotes an understanding of their work in connection with the Bergell region.

In Stampa, visitors can experience the "present" of the world-famous artist and follow the developmental stages of his work. While art museums can be explored visually, the Giacometti valley can be experienced on foot. As with Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince, in Val Bregaglia you discover the essentials that are invisible to the eye.

The Sentiero Giacometti was opened in April 2024. The hike through Stampa and Borgonovo connects important points in the lives of the Giacometti artists.
