The existing Sogn Gudegn chapel was built in 1648 and consecrated with an altar on May 16, 1649. It stands on the lower edge of the village on the road towards Degen.

First building mentioned in the indulgence letter of 1345. This chapel was located to the south of the present church. The chapel was probably moved in 1648 due to the danger of slipping; according to the visitation report of 1658, Old Gaudentius was still standing. The existing chapel was built in 1648 and consecrated with an altar on May 16, 1649.

Description: A north-west-facing building with a two-bay nave and a flat, closed choir, both vaulted with barrels. The portal is crowned with a canopy, dated 1648.Furnishings: The altar is a two-storey wooden structure from around 1700 with an altarpiece of St. Gaudentius. Simple gallery dated 1790; a small rococo organ from the parish church with a three-sided façade.Bells with inscriptions, 17th century.
