The fireplace not far from Valendas-Sagogn railroad station is located on the banks of the Rhine and nestled in the shade of trees.
Description
The campfire site with picnic area in the middle of the Rhine Gorge is a wonderful place to linger. You can refresh your feet on the nearby bank and get creative building cairns. The faszinaturWeg Rhine Gorge trail also passes here. You can learn interesting facts about observations in the Rhine Gorge and geology from the Valendas fountain mermaid.
The fireplace can be reached on foot via the Valendas-Sagognn railroad station hiking trail to Versam-Safien and is located directly on the banks of the Rhine at the Carrera ravine.
The fireplace can be used from around mid-April to the end of October. Wood is available. Please do not cut down any trees or branches to make a fire and observe any instructions, e.g. regarding the risk of forest fires and protection zones.
