The Maraner Hüschi fireplace offers a wonderful view over the golf course and across to the Schiesshorn.
Description
If you like to enjoy a breathtaking view while barbecuing and picnicking, you are in the right place. From the Maraner Hüschi fireplace you can let your gaze wander far over the golf course, across to Schiesshorn and Schafsrugg and as far as the Walser villages in Schanfigg. There is a generous wooden table with benches and chopped wood ready for you.

Public Transport
The Rhaetian Railway leaves Chur to Arosa and back at hourly intervals. Take the local bus from the train station Arosa towards "Prätschli" and get off at the bus stop "Maran". The fireplace is only a short walk from the bus stop.
Directions
From Chur, take the winding Arosa road to the end of the valley in Arosa. At the village entrance, after the petrol station, turn right into Maranerstrasse. Follow the road to the Prätschli terminus. There are a few parking spaces.
We recommend leaving the car in the village and taking the local bus from there (to the Maran stop). Then walk past the Maran Alpine dairy along the hiking trail to the Maraner Hüschi barbecue area.
Parking
At the entrance to the village there are large signs indicating the various parking options. We recommend the Obersee car park or the Ochsenbühl multi-storey car park. You can find more information under Arosa Parking.
There are a limited number of parking spaces in the Maran/Prätschli area.
