The Rosera floodplain in Lostallo is part of the inventory for the protection of floodplain areas of national importance.
Description
The floodplain area of Rosera was "rebuilt" in the years 2003 – 2005 from an environmental point of view with the construction and restoration of a series of water channels that create a very suggestive naturalistic interweaving effect between the natural vegetation, the Moesa river and the streams that cross the forest located between the river and the cultivated meadows of the Lostallo countryside, located between the village and the hamlet of Sorte.
The naturalistic intervention is a piece of particular value with a view to enhancing the territory of the middle Mesolcina, a piece of territory of high naturalistic value, so much so that the area of about 20 hectares is included in the inventory for the protection of floodplain areas of national importance.
