Welcome to the World Water Library – the interactive centre and meeting place on the subject of water. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of water and experience it with all your senses in our interactive and informative rooms at the unique location in Reichenau, where the Anterior and Hiterrhein rivers unite to form the Rhine.

Description

We invite visitors on an exciting journey through 14 different stations in the World Water Library. Surprising, demanding, questioning. From the importance of water for humans to rivers as lifelines to the challenges of climate change, various stations shed light on water in all its facets. Interactive areas encourage reflection and participation, while the Blue Library collects knowledge about water as a growing archive. You can dive in and let yourself drift, like a piece of driftwood in a river.
We invite school classes to take a trip to the World Water Library and immerse themselves in the fascinating water world. Your class will embark on an exciting, guided tour of our World Water Library, allowing for interactive experiences at each station. The walking tour is combined with a lesson that you can choose from different lessons. These deepen specific water topics and are based on Curriculum 21. Finally, a visit to the Rhine offers the opportunity to experience water up close and actively explore it, making for an unforgettable learning experience. Clubs are also welcome.
