Tables and benches are available next to the fireplace. There is also a fountain in the immediate vicinity.

You can reach the picnic area in a good fifteen minutes from the parking lot under the dam wall on a good gravel road along the reservoir. The idyllic spot is also easily accessible by bike.

The waterfalls fall over steep rock faces into the valley just over a hundred meters away. They are particularly impressive when the snow melts in spring and early summer.

The fireplace can be used from around mid-May to the end of October. There may be snow at this altitude before and after. The road along the reservoir is often buried by avalanches and is only passable again in late spring.

Please note: The campfire site can also be reached on the opposite side of the lake via a narrow hiking trail. The bridge at the end of the lake is dismantled for the period from late fall to spring (avalanches). During this time, please find out whether the path is open.
