The Hahnensee, in Romansh Lej dals Chöds, is a mountain lake in the Engadin.

Description

It lies within the territory of the two municipalities of Silvaplana and St. Moritz at an altitude of 2,153 meters above sea level. This picturesque lake is nestled amidst a larch forest on a high plateau above the St. Moritz ski jump. Lake Hahnensee and its surroundings are protected.
From the lake, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Engadin Lake District.
Meals are available at the Hahnensee mountain restaurant right next to the lake.
There is also a playground near the lake. Lake Lej dals Chöds is a popular destination for hikers in summer.
Hiking trails lead, for example, from Lej Marsch (just over 1 hour), Champfèr and St. Moritz (around 1 hour 30 minutes), or Silvaplana (around 1 hour 45 minutes) to Lake Hahnensee.
