Plaun Casti fireplace, Waltensburg
On the initiative of the “Swiss Family”, over 500 fireplaces have been built in recent decades. The Plaun Casti fireplace is one of these.
Description
The Plaun Casti fireplace is located 940 m above sea level 1.5 km east of Waltensburg, 1 km east of the Munt Sogn Gieri post bus stop, in front of the Jörgenburg ruins. A possible hiking route that leads past the fireplace is from Waltensburg in the direction of Rueun.
The fireplace can be used from around mid-May to the end of October. Please observe any instructions regarding the risk of forest fires, for example.
