Description
For centuries, agriculture was the livelihood of the people in the Samnaun Valley. The meadows on the steep slopes still characterize the landscape today. The valley museum is the last witness to this bygone era and tells of the difficult conditions back then. The building housing the local collection was an old farmhouse typical of the region. Thanks to the initiative of the municipality, an extensive restoration was carried out in 1984 in cooperation with the cantonal monument preservation authorities. The objects for the exhibition were painstakingly collected. The result is a well-organized collection from days gone by.
