SINCE 1978, WE’VE BEEN ADDING THE FINAL TOUCH TO YOUR SKI VACATIONS

Schmid Sport was founded in 1978 in Arosa. As a longtime ski instructor, Hansjürg Schmid and his wife Annalies were able to rent the Kulm Ski Hall from Hotel Kulm AG. Through a series of small and large renovations, the sports store has consistently adapted to customer needs.

As early as 1990, Luzia Schmid joined her parents’ business. Peter Mattli, the long-time partner of the snow sports instructor’s daughter, also contributes his expertise. In 1999, schmid sport became independent from Hotel Kulm and purchased the buildings. B 2001B saw the sole proprietorship transformed into a corporation.

Since the end of April B 2004B , there has been a new member of the schmid sport team: B Andri MattliB , son of Luzia Schmid Mattli and Peter Mattli.

In B 2010B , the sports store expanded with a new, additional schmid sport location: the B Brüggli ArosaB .

July 2012 brings further reinforcement to the schmid sport team: Nico Mattli delights his brother Andri Mattli and his parents, Luzia Schmid Mattli and Peter Mattli.

In 2015, the Kulm Ski Hall becomes the new, yet familiar, schmid sport location: Güetliweg 4, Zur Kulmwiese.
