Description
Tarasp belonged to Austria until the beginning of the 19th century. At the turn of the 20th century, the castle was bought in a desolate state by K. A. Lingner, spa guest and inventor of Odol mouthwash, bought it for CHF 20,000.00 and renovated it extensively.
In 2016, the Swiss artist Not Vital acquired the castle, which now houses a collection of antique, modern and contemporary art. Not Vital's foundation also owns the Parkin, a sculpture park in Sent, and the historic Plantahaus in Ardez.
