Natural Monument Surselva

Val Frisal, Brigels

Description

The Val Frisal at 1900 m above.M sea level is a 3 km long high valley with a hollow-shaped glacier closure and wonderfully meandering watercourses that spread like lifelines along the entire plain and reach up to glaciers and snowfields. The glacier forefield, the watercourses and a flat moor with rare fauna and flora make the Val Frisal one of the most beautiful high valleys in the Alps. The varied ascent to Val Frisal leads along the Flem and past Chischarolas at the smallest but highest primeval forest in Switzerland.
Three beautifully located fireplaces are located on the Flembach.
