Museum Viamala

Walserama Nufenen
The historic Suste, built around 1680, at the time of the "Port" in the Free State of the Three Leagues, houses a collection of artifacts from the cultural heritage of the Walser in the Rheinwald.

The unique, cultural-historical exhibits give the visitor an insight into the historical everyday life of the old Walser. They include, among other things, passenger transport over the Rheinwald passes at the time of stagecoaches and sledges, domestic life, traditional dairy, wood crafts, buuchi and much more.

Opening hours

All year round only by appointment: Free, professional guided tours (De, It, Fr, En) possible.

For larger groups, in connection with the Walserama visit, catering can also be organised in the Arvenstube of the Nufenen dairy.
