The "Casa Gronda" (Big House) was built in 1677 by Johann Anton Schmid von Grüneck. From the 14th to the 18th century, the Schmid von Grüneck (also Grünegg) were the most important noble family of the town of Ilanz.

The town hall, also known as Casa Cumin, was built in 1892. The old town hall, the Casa Grischa (grey house), where the Bundestag of the Three Rhaetian Leagues met, stood in roughly the same place and was demolished in 1881.
