Segantini 19: Le cattive madri – Die bösen Mütter, 1894
The picture refers to the poem «Nirvana» by Luigi Illica. Segantini painted it at the Lai Tigiel above Alp Tussagn on the opposite side of the valley. He may also have been inspired by the figures in the ceiling painting in the church of Son Martegn.

The Valens playground offers plenty to explore with two towers, climbing elements, and a slide. Swings, a zipline, and a large sandbox provide fun. A water play area with a pump is especially popular in the summer.
