The standard equipment on the Via Capricorn includes good shoes, a water bottle and a warm jacket for higher altitudes, but above all: binoculars. At the latest after the steep ascent from Alp Biggenmad up to Alperschälli, the binoculars should be ready to hand. This is where the ibex can be observed particularly often.

20 minutes' drive from Davos lies the Sertig Valley, the "oasis of tranquillity". The romantic side valley is the ideal starting point for leisurely hikes and challenging mountain tours. The Sertig Trail and the legendary Alps Epic Trail are popular with bikers. The Walser village of the same name with the little church "Hinter den Eggen" built in 1699 is particularly enchanting.

The garden house north of the old town, built in 1710 by the Schmid von Grüneck. Picturesque roof design with four curved gables; above the south entrance there is a sundial with the date 1710. It was thoroughly restored in 1941 and placed under federal protection.
