Cama is one of the seven municipalities that make up the Mesolcina valley. Located near the Moesa river, the town is known for the lake of the same name, which feeds the Valcama.

Lake Urdensee is situated on 2'249 m asl in a side valley of the middle Schanfigg between the municipalities of Arosa and Vaz/Obervaz, as well as the alp region Urder Augstberg. It is surrounded by the mountains Plattenhorn, Hörnli, Hörnligrat, Tschirpen, Parpaner Weisshorn and Parpaner Schwarzhorn.

The entrance to the family via ferrata is marked with yellow triangles. From Trun, the via ferrata is about 2h 30min away and can be shortened by car or alpine taxi. To the entrance to the hut should be allowed about 1h 30min. More information about the via ferrata Punteglias.
