Description

Journey

The family via ferrata can be reached from Trun in about 2h 30min with a steeper ascent along the dozing Ferrerabach. If you would like to use an easier route, you can go by car (buy a driving permit on the road for CHF 7.00) or take the alpine taxi from Trun train station (Taxi Demont 079 853 81 92) up to Alp da Schlans. The varied high-altitude trail leads at the beginning through forest and meadow sections, slightly descending to Alp da Punteglias. From there it goes uphill to the start of the via ferrata in about 1.5 hours (marked with yellow triangles).

Ascent

The ascent takes place over the five varied rock sections: large stones, roof, waterfall slab, ibex wall and birthday slab. In between, there are short walking distances and you are always accompanied by the imposing waterfall with an unobstructed view of the valley and the mountain scenery. The last, few meters are on the mountain path to the Camona da Pun-teglias CAS, which welcomes you warmly and spoils you with delicious cakes from the wood-fired oven.
