The Pavillon / Panell fireplace is located approx. 160 metres above the valley floor. There is a good view of the village of Splügen and the Rheinwald.

Parish church of St. Peter and Paul Meierhof, Obersaxen
Although this late Gothic building was damaged in the village fire of 1740, it was essentially preserved until 1904. The entire complex was then rebuilt with the exception of the tower.

The present church was first mentioned in 1354, but was undoubtedly founded several centuries earlier. The lower part of the adjacent tower is certainly from Romanesque times.
