Chur itself does not have its own water and drinking water is still obtained from exploitable sources - but how could the industry and the population in the city survive? Correct - with the construction of the Chur mill streams. This tour takes you on an exciting and educational journey trough time of the Chur mill streams - the well-being and relaxation will not be neglected as well.
Good to know: The tour price includes the Transreno day ticket 2nd class for zone 150 (Chur city and Felsberg) with bus and train. This ensures that you can travel to and from the starting and ending point in the Obere Au. You are also flexible during the whole tour, if you are tired or some part does not interest you.
Procedure:
Start time in the Obere Au: 10:30 a.m.
Appetizer in the restaurant Pizzeria Brauerei: 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Main course at restaurant Rätushof: 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Dessert at the Camp Au: 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
End time in the Obere Au: 5:00 p.m.

Information about the tour itinerary
You get the information during your tour in the city E-GUIDE. All information about the app-download you find here. Alternatively, you can borrow the device for a fee of CHF 12.- and a deposit of CHF 100.- at the information desk of Chur Tourism. A pre-reservation is recommended, because we only have a limited number of devices.
The price includes the following services:
- 3-course menu in the participating restaurants
- route description with detailed information in the city E-GUIDE; the app can be downloaded for free
- day ticket Transreno in 2nd class for unlimited travels in zone 150 (Chur city and Felsberg) on board the busses and trains
Start time: 10:30 a.m.
Duration: approx. 6 1/2 hours, of which approx 4 hours walking time
Important: Please stick to the start time. Otherwise, it cannot be guaranteed that the kitchen can offer the appropriate menus
Arrival information
Starting point:
The starting point of this tour is at the bus station Obere Au in Chur. It is a non-guided tour.
Arrival by public transport:
You travel from the train station in Chur with bus line 2 to Obere Au and start your tour directly from the bus stop. You can find the timetables at www.churbus.ch.
Arrival by private car:
Leave the highway at the Chur Süd exit and follow the traffic signs to Obere Au. There you will find enough parking spaces, a payment of the parking fee is obligatory. Then you start your tour also at the bus stop.
