Today away from the main road, Degen used to be a traffic junction – the place where the roads to Ilanz, Vals, Vrin and the south crossed. The three churches and chapels of the village with their art treasures of national importance still bear witness to this once central role. Doors will be opened to you that would otherwise remain closed – come along!
