Sommertheater
«Madame Montouchi» – A Rhaeto-Romanic staged reading that follows in the footsteps of a mysterious, well-travelled woman from the Surselva region in the 19th century.
With: Angela Collenberg and David Flepp.

Description

A staged reading in Romansh

With the production "Madame Montouchi", Angela Collenberg and David Flepp open Pandora's chest. A suitcase from a confectioner from Graubünden, filled with objects from another era, has found its way into the museum. Angela and David slip into different roles and melodically approach Madame Montouchi – or do they?
Who was this mysterious, intelligent and enchanting woman? Was she really married three times – in Bordeaux, Flims, Florence? Did she really know Sarah Bernhardt and what role does Daniel Schmid play in this play? A woman who fascinated and did not fit into the 19th century of Switzerland at all...

Back to the time of dreams of grand hotels and competition, of patriarchy and emancipation, of the longing for freedom, home and faraway places. A staged reading that takes the audience on a journey to find out what really was.
