100. Geburtstag Pfarrkirchenorgel

For a hundred years it has filled the parish church with its sound, frames the big holidays and the small celebrations, resounds in concerts: the large Mayer-Metzler organ with its 1669 pipes and the entire, late Romantic sonority. The village, which was still small at the time, afforded itself an instrument of enormous colourfulness, which opens up everything that has been composed for the organ. In an anniversary concert, the local organist Pieder Jörg plays key works of the organ literature and thus lets the centenarian shine on her anniversary. Among others, the well-known Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, the Pièce Héroique by César Franck and the 3rd Organ Sonata by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy will be heard.
