Event San Bernardino Mesolcina Calanca
Ali tra i tetti
Description
From human to animal movements it is a short step, especially if you think of the numerous species of birds that keep the biodiversity of the Val Calanca Park alive. With this premise and following up on the annual theme dedicated to movement, the Val Calanca Park offers an evening ornithological excursion to discover the birds that nest in the villages of the
valley.
The activity, organized as part of the Nature Festival, will be conducted by experts from the Ticino Antenna of the Swiss Ornithological Station accompanied by a Park guide.
The meeting is scheduled for 7.30 pm at the church of Buseno. The walk, simple and suitable for everyone, will take place from 19.30 to 21.00 in the surroundings of the village, offering participants the opportunity to closely observe the species that nest in the villages. Among these, the Common Swift stands out, known for its ability to twirl between rooftops. To underline the indissoluble relationship between man and birdlife, historical and cultural aspects of the place will also be thematized.
It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and, if possible, to bring binoculars. Some binoculars will still be made available by the organizers. In case of bad weather, the excursion will be cancelled.
