Event San Bernardino Mesolcina Calanca

Alla scoperta del mondo dei funghi

Description

Get to know mushrooms, learn to recognize them and approach their collection in a conscious, safe and environmentally friendly way. The event is aimed at nature enthusiasts, families and all those who wish to learn more about the fascinating mycological universe, accompanied by experienced and competent people. Mushrooms represent an important and fascinating component of the forest ecosystem. Learning about them also means better understanding the delicate balance of the woods and approaching the mountains with greater curiosity, respect and awareness.

The meeting is scheduled for Sunday 20 September at 08.30 am at the Moesano Regional Tourist Board in San Bernardino, from where an educational outing in the area will start.

During the walk, the experts of the Bellinzonese and Valleys Mycological Group will accompany the participants to discover the different species present in the woods of the region, providing useful information for their recognition and illustrating the main rules to be observed during the harvest. Particular attention will be paid to safety, to the distinction between edible, inedible and potentially toxic species, as well as respect for the environment and the correct harvesting methods. In fact, the initiative aims to be not only a recreational moment, but also an opportunity to raise awareness and disseminate, to promote a more attentive and responsible relationship with the natural heritage of the area.

Participation is open to all, with registration required by Wednesday 16 September 2026 at the Moesano Regional Tourist Board: info@visit-moesano.ch, tel. 091 832 12 14.
